Octagonal Boxes are used in the installation of ceiling or
wall lighting fixtures. Extension rings provide a means for
adding additional cubic capacity or as an outlet box for
surface conduit. Boxes may be used in the installation of
lighting fixtures. Combination screw heads provide for faster
installation.
Handy Boxes, also called utility boxes, are used for
convenience outlets, switch boxes or small junction boxes.
They are popular for surface-mounted wiring. Extension rings
provide a means for adding additional cubic capacity or as an
outlet box for surface conduit.

Switch and socket
Boxes manufactured from galvanized steel and
PVC dry lining boxes suitable for domestic and commercial
applications for the mounting of any flush accessory. Switch and
socket boxes are used to house 13 amp switches and socket outlets
as well as a range of other control devices and telecom
sockets. They may be flush, semi-flush or surface mounted types and
there are dry liner boxes for installation in plasterboard. Since
there is no common European plug, socket and wiring system, each
European state continues to manufacture to its own National
standard. In Britain the standard for switch and socket boxes is
BS4662 which in turn complements the plug and socket standard
BS1363. BS4662 is a dimensional and material standard and is about
to be revised mainly to include the dry liner boxes.
